It seems homo sapiens has felt the need to visualize information since Neanderthal times.

These days, of course, high-performance visualization techniques are letting us view and analyze vast amounts of data so that we can determine the incidence of breast cancer in a population or track the buying habits of urban college students.

In this episode of Podium, computer scientist Georges Grinstein talks about visualization computing in financial services, homeland security and healthcare – and predicts where these technologies are headed.
