About me

Research Staff Member
Research lab: Watson Research Center (Hawthorne)
I am a Research Staff Member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, in Hawthorne (NY), where I work in the Intelligent Application Analysis group.
My research interests lie in knowledge representation & reasoning (esp. related to the Semantic Web), ontology engineering (creation, maintenance etc.) and in applying semantic technologies to the enterprise. I am currently working on a Scalable Ontology Reasoning Tool (SHER) that can efficiently answer structured queries over large and expressive KBs (containing millions of assertions) in secondary storage.
I completed my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park and did my thesis on the Debugging and Repair of OWL-DL Ontologies.
