Amy G KatrielStaff Software Engineer
Research Lab: Watson Research Center (Hawthorne)
I have been with IBM at the T.J. Watson Research Center since December 1989. I received my undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and my Master's Degree from Columbia University.
Currently, I am a member of the Contextual Learning Solutions department. I am working on a Java based tool for the Literacy project. I have recently completed the MAGIC web application to support the automated generation of metadata for SCORM learning objects. The application provides a good user experience for generating, storing and aggregating learning objects.
Previously, I was a member of the Next Web Interfaces department, and I worked on infrastructure software in Java for context aware applications that facilitate communication. I have written software based on the Java J2ME platform for multiple pervasive devices, and I have developed software for Palm handheld computers.
