Sameh Asaad : Dr. Asaad is a Senior Engineer at IBM T.J.Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY where he joined in 1996. He received a B.S. degree in Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 1989. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN in 1995 and 2001, respectively. Dr. Asaad worked on several areas in research including high-resolution flat panel displays, computer-peripheral interconnect, cache design, and computer architecture, design and verification. He is co-author on 8 patents in the US and abroad and a recipient of an IBM Research Division Award for his contributions to high resolution liquid crystal display technology.
