Amos Waterland is a member of the Advanced Operating Systems department at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. He received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. He subsequently joined IBM's Linux Technology Center, where he worked on NASA contracts and embedded operating systems. In 2004, he received an IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award. In 2006, he joined IBM Research, where he has worked on scalable operating systems, cloud computing on supercomputers, and group-theoretic approaches to the theory of computation.
