About me
Research staff member, Advanced Large Vocabulary Speech Recognition
Research lab: Watson Research Center (Yorktown)
I've been with the User Technologies Department at the Watson Research Center since 1999. In this time, I have worked on a number of projects, including recognition of voicemail, telephone conversations, and broadcast news, as well as automated quality monitoring in call centers. My research has focused on robustness and
acoustic modeling in large vocabulary speech recognition systems. I received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, CA, in 1998.
