I've been at the Watson Research Center since 1981; over the years I have worked on mainframe performance management, computer conferencing, computer virus countermeasures, and autonomic computing.
I'm currently (early 2006) a member of the Service Management Middleware group at Watson Research. My current research interests include autonomic computing and systems management, emergent issues in computer security, computer-mediated collaboration, and serendipitous search in rich logical spaces.
