Frederik De Keukelaere is a researcher at IBM Research, Tokyo Research Laboratory, Japan. He is part of the service oriented computing group where he is working on next generation security models for the web. His main interest lies in enhancing web technologies to improve mashup security.
Prior to joining TRL, he was working at the Interdisciplinary institute for BroadBand Technology - Multimedia Lab, Belgium. During this period, he was active within the MPEG community focusing on the MPEG-21 standard where he has been chairing several ad-hoc groups and became author of over fifty MPEG contributions. He is editor of several MPEG-21 standards and served as the HoD (Head of Delegation) of the Belgian National Body. During this period he received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science Engineering, from Ghent University, Belgium.
