I received my Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1995 and joined IBM Research in 1997. My research interests have focused on systems and algorithms to search and process multilingual text. While at IBM, I have developed systems that enable English-speaking users to search text written in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, and Italian.
