Hi! I am a researcher in the Telecommunications Research and Innovation Center (TRiC) at IBM India Research Lab.

Research Summary
Recent years have witnessed dramatic changes in the way people access data and services. Advances in processor, memory and radio technology are moving us towards a new era of computing - one in which traditional mainframes and workstations are giving way to thin clients and intelligent devices backed by powerful, distributed information services. This era of networked services is driven by applications ranging from content delivery and grid computing, to embedded networked sensing and peer-to-peer computing. However, such services often impose stringent performance and availability requirements on the underlying infrastructure. With this backdrop, my research has focused on the design, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of efficient and scalable networked computer systems. My interests and contributions span a wide range of networked computer systems including Internet systems, SIP-based converged networks, sensor networks, storage systems, Web services, and enterprise grids.

I am currently working on
- SIP-based presence-aware architectures/applications over converged networks
- Social Networks Analytics for Cellular Service Providers
- Web and Grid Services

I have also worked on
- QoS Management in Storage Systems
- Distributed Data Management
- Wireless and Sensor Networks

Education
