Jennifer LaiManager, Adaptive Learning Solutions

Jennifer Lai is a Research Staff Member at the T.J. Watson Research Center in New York, where she manages a group focused on creating solutions to enable work-based learning. Her research lies at the intersection of people and computers, especially as it relates to communication and collaboration among people. Her expertise is in human-computer interaction, and her research has covered a broad range of topics that include speech technologies; productivity solutions for mobile workers; smart spaces; and multimodal interaction. She has been a guest lecturer at many universities and a National Science Foundation panelist. She is a member of the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Speech Technology, and has published several book chapters and over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Jennifer holds 13 patents with several additional patents pending.
