L Venkata Subramaniam is a Research Staff Member and Manager of the Information Processing and Analytics Group at the IBM India Research Lab (IRL), Delhi. He has been with IRL since 1998.

His research interests include unstructured information management, statistical natural language processing, noisy text analytics, text and data mining and their applications to customer relationship management and bioinformatics. In the past he has worked on audio visual speech recognition and information theory and coding theory.
