Max Lu received his B.E. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China and his M.S. degree from National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. For many years, he has worked on building complex systems, such as machine tool computer numeric control (CNC) systems, image-based 3-D model capture systems, wafer defect detecting systems, etc.
