Paula Austel
Research Lab: Watson Research Center (Hawthorne)
Paula is a member of the Secure Software and Services department currently working on SOA Security, Best Practices and Tools. She was actively involved in defining some of the specifications and standards for web services security working with both [OASIS Web Services Security TC and
WS-I Basic Security Profile Working Group.
Paula joined IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in 1984 and has worked in the areas of security, visualization, computer animation, operating systems and file systems. She was a member of the development team for the product IBM Visualization Data Explorer which is now available as open source. She has an MS in Computer Science from New York University.
