Since 2000 MR. Bellofatto has been an Senior Engineer at IBM Research. Since 2001 he has responsible for various control system programming and hardware systems verification on the BlueGene L. project. Prior to working He received a Bachelors and a Masters Degree from Ithaca College in 1979 and 1980 respectively and has been working on in the computer industry as a software engineer in a wide variety of industries (such as: network control and analisis; music software; broadcast video control software; terminal emulation software). Mr. Bellofattos' professional interest include computer architecture, performance analysis and tuning, network architecture, ASIC design, systems architecture and design. He is currently working on the control system for BlueGene L. He most enjoys working on systems where he can cross between software and hardware, to design and integrate working computer, or computer controlled systems.
His personal interests include woodworking (furniture building and design), scuba diving (former PADI and NAUI scuba instructor, motorcycle touring and music (both vocal and instrumental performance).
