About me

Rosario Gennaro

Rosario Gennaro

Research Staff Member.

Research Lab: Watson Research Center (Hawthorne)

Hello. I work in the Cryptography Research Group at the IBM T.J.Watson Research Center.

My research interests are in Cryptography and Network Security. More specifically I work on the design of efficient and provably secure cryptographic algorithms. I also work on secure distributed protocols and the theoretical foundations of cryptography. Other things that interest me are machine learning, number theory, computational geometry, theory of algorithms and data structures.

Before coming here, I received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. There I was a member of the Theory of Computation group at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science. My advisor was Prof. Silvio Micali.
