Sam Weber is a member of the Secure Software and Services team at IBM's T.J. Watson lab. Currently, his major research focus is on web middleware security.

Sam Weber received his B.Sc degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Toronto in 1987. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 1989, after writing a thesis on the theory of distributed systems. He then entered Cornell University, where he received both MS and PhD degrees, based upon his work in the specification and verification of systems using process algebras.

After being a faculty member at Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania, he joined IBM in 1997.
