Daniele Paolo Scarpazza
I am Research Staff Member with the High-Performance Computing group of the Business Analytics and Math Department of the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Laboratory in Yorktown Heights, NY.
I got a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001, and a Laurea cum laude in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2002.
I got my Ph.D. in Information Engineering from Politecnico in 2006, also within a collaboration with the IMEC Research Center in Leuven, Belgium. Before joining IBM, I was a post-doc at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, WA.
I work on parallel algorithms and programming abstractions for emergent multi-core architectures.
