Thermal engineer
Shurong Tian is a thermal engineer in the System Department at The Thomas J. Watson Research Center. She did her undergraduate studies at Beijing University of Technology. She received her M.S.M.E. degree from Kyushu University in Japan in 1995 and also received a M.S.M.E from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001. From 2001 to 2004 she was with Multilink Technology Corporation - Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation, Somerset, New Jersey. She joined IBM Research in 2004. She has worked on thermal design for several projects including BlueGene/P supercomputer, PERCS supercomputer, Blade Center 2 and Blade Center 3.
