About me

Research Staff Member
Exploratory Stream Analytics Group
Research lab: Watson Research Center (Hawthorne)
Bio
I am a research staff member in the Exploratory Stream Analytics (ESA) group at IBM Research. Prior to joining IBM (2006), I received my Ph.D. (2006) and M.S. (2003) degrees in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park and my B.Tech (2000) degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.
Research Interests
My research interests lie at the junction of algorithm design and optimization on one hand, and stream computing / data mining / networked and distributed systems on the other. I am especially interested in the development and application of tools in the fields of approximation/randomized algorithms and combinatorial optimization to address problems in the areas of stream processing and wireless networking.
