Dr. Markus Stolze is Research Staff Member and project leader at the IBM Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY in the Business Informatics department. He received his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Bern (Switzerland) and his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University Zurich, Switzerland. Between 1992 and 1995 he worked as a research associate at the Computer Sceince Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Markus has worked for IBM Research for more than ten years, first in Zurich, Switzerland and since 2006 in the US. In Switzerland Markus taught courses in Human Computer Interaction for more than seven years. He has served as reviewer and organizer for international workshops, conference and journals. In his research Markus employes Artificial Intelligence and Human Computer Interaction techniques to that help to make decision support systems more useful and usable. His current research focus is the application of model-driven decision support techniques to Business Service Management.
