Dr. Takken received a B.A. in physics from the University of Virginia and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Since graduating in 1997, he has worked at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in the areas of microelectronic packaging, signal integrity design, high speed signaling, electromagnetic modeling, sysem architecture and network architecture. Dr. Takken's recent contributions have been toward the design and testing of the BlueGene family of supercomputers.
