I work as a Technical Staff Member at the IBM India Research Laboratory (IRL), New Delhi, India. I joined IRL in June 2003.
My main areas of interest include distributed systems, operating systems, web caching and networking. Currently, I am working on studying the impact of OS Jitter ("Noise") on tightly coupled parallel programs in large clusters. Earlier, I worked on various aspects of system management and health monitoring in WebSphere eXtended Deployment (XD) (2005-2006) as well as on project Symphony, (2003-2004) which dealt with decentralized orchestration of composite web services.

Prior to joining IBM in June 2003, I worked with the portfolio analytics group at Morgan Stanley, New York for about an year and a half. I graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey with a Masters in Computer Engineering in July 2001. I did my Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Malaviya Regional Engineering College (now known as Malaviya National Institute of Technology), Jaipur, India in August 1999.
