Yasuo Amemiya manages the Statistical Analysis & Forecasting Group in the Mathematical Sciences Department. His research areas include multivariate statistical analysis, latent variable modeling, as well as methodological development for problems in business and IT system management. Prior to joining IBM Research, he was Professor of Statistics at Iowa State University. He is an Elected Fellow of the American statistical Association, and has served on editorial boards of various statistical journals.
