Yonggang Deng received his PhD from Center for Language and Speech Processing at the Johns Hopkins University in Electrical Engineering. He had a MSE at Chinese Academy of Sciences in Pattern Recognition and AI and a BS at University of Science and Technology of China in Computer Software.
Yonggang's research interests include statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, and their applications in machine translation, speech recognition, information retrieval and other problems in speech and language processing. His work at IBM are mostly on real-time speech translation.
