Greetings! My name is Yang Song. I am a fourth year PhD student in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. I work with Professor C. Lee Giles on the CiteSeer digital library project. My research interests are developing and applying statistical machine learning methods for information retrieval, data mining, text classification and collaborative filtering. I have previously interned at Microsoft Research, Redmond as a summer research intern.
This summer I am working with researchers at the service product technologies group at Hawthorne research center. We are working towards using machine learning methods for automatic problem classification for technical support services. This is my first time here as an IBM research intern. I'm very excited and hope to make lots of friends here this summer!
