Hao Yu has a BS and MS in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He got his PhD in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, with thesis on "Adaptive Optimization of Irregular Applications". In Blue Gene/L project, he worked on enabling and optimizing MPI I/O, enabling and optimizing MPI topology functions. He worked on Blue Gene/L computing kernel for event tracking, Blue Gene/L I/O node kernel for the support for file byte-range locking, and XL compiler BG/L release for the exploration of the SIMD feature of the double FPU of BG/L computing nodes.
