Our department invents and standardizes the common infrastructure for XML and Web Services, and explores the best way to design, deploy and monitor and understand SOA application deployments using this infrastructure. We contribute to the emerging subfield of Computer Science known as Services Computing, and produce software libraries that can be used in product middleware, open source efforts, developer and end-user tools. We are experts in semi-structured data and markup technologies.
The Senior Manager of Extensible Technologies is Sharon Adler. Sharon is also the chair of the W3C XSL Working Group, and a member of the board of Idealliance.
