Furu
Wei
was born in August 1983. He is currently a staff researcher at IBM China Research Lab, Beijing, China. Furu received his Ph.D in June 2009 in Department of Computer Science from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. Before that, he received a B.Sc degree from the same department in 2004. He has published more than 8 papers in top conferences and leading journals, such as SIGIR, ACL, COLING, CIKM, Knowledge and Information Systems, and Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology. His main research interests include natural language processing, information retrieval and text mining.

Shi
is a staff researcher at IBM China Research Lab. He received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, in 2003, 2006 and 2008 respectively, all in Computer Science. His previous research topics lie in the Networking and Systems, where he has published several papers including Sigcomm, Infocom, ICDCS and Elsevier Computer Communications.

Zhang
is a staff researcher in IBM China Research Lab(CRL). He joined CRL as pure blue after receiving his Master degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2003, majored in pattern recognition and intelligent system. His current research focus is how to enhance the consumability of analytics via novel interactive visualization since 2008. His past research experience in CRL includes understanding and exploring novel collaboration paradigm to enhance productivity of knowledge workers and organizations, including activity-centric computing, project management and enterprise web20. He is an evangelist for new technology, and fond of experimenting alpha and beta tools.

is a researcher at IBM China Research Lab. He received a master degree in School of Software from Tsinghua University. As visualization designer and developer for about four years and also have passion on designing more fast and flexible software. He insists that visualization can enhance the ability of the human mind to process information. It has more advantages in cutting-edges situation and education or learning activity.

Sun
is a research staff member at IBM China Research Lab. She received her master and Ph.D. degree in Design and Computation from MIT in 2002 and 2007 respectively. Her current research interests include information visualization and Human-Computer Interaction. Xiaohua also leads the UI Center at CRL working on UI design for projects across the lab.

Liu
is a research manager at IBM China Research Lab, where she manages the department of smart visual analytics. She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University. Her research interests include interactive visual text analysis, interactive visual social network analysis, social network analysis, text analytics, and computer graphics. Liu served as the PC member of several international conferences such as ACM Multimedia, PacificVis, and SDM, and has authored and coauthored a number of papers, and filed 40+ patents.
