IBM Israel Research Seminars

Models are abstract descriptions of interesting phenomena. For building complex systems, we use a variety of different kinds of models (e.g., programs, tests, transformations, architectural descriptions) written in different languages. We need to be able to manage these models in sophisticated, automated ways.
We describe our experiences in modelling and model management, particularly for complex and critical systems, and talk about how we have evolved a set of integrated languages for supporting automated model management in a variety of domains.
