IBM Israel Research Seminars

The EDA initiative is a new IBM Software Group initiative aimed at positioning IBM as the leading supplier of middleware services to support event-driven applications and functionality.

The talk is intended to explain this new initiative.

The talk will serve a mini-tutorial for the entire topic, it will sketch the motivation, then it will explain the direction the middleware services that are emerging, and compare them to the enterprise integration patterns, it will list the issues that will be investigated in the next few months, and also list the research challenges in this area.

The talk will also provide a brief account of the current state of the art outside IBM.
